The Cajamarca Antpitta is a ground-dwelling bird of the northern Peruvian Andes. A 2020 taxonomic study separated it from the Rufous Antpitta complex using plumage, voice and genetic evidence.
It has brown upperparts, a pale eye-ring and a lighter buff-to-whitish belly.
The paper describes a short song usually containing five or six notes at roughly two notes per second. Voice, plumage and genetic evidence supported its recognition as a separate species.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
