The Rufous-naped Lark is a large lark whose rusty wings show in flight. Pairs live in grassland and savanna, and the bird is conspicuous singing in spring and summer.
It has a short crest and stout bill, with a prominent rufous wing panel in flight. Some birds lack a rufous nape, and overall color ranges from rich rufous-brown to pale sandy tones.
Pairs are resident in open grassland, grassy savanna, woodland, and cultivated areas. In spring and summer they perch up to sing, sometimes drooping the wings and jumping with a flutter.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
