The Greater Streaked Honeyeater lives in Sulawesi's montane rainforest. Fine streaks on its dark plumage and a large ear patch are useful field marks.
Its head and back are dark brownish-black with fine streaking. A large whitish or violet patch sits behind the eye; the sexes have similar plumage.
It feeds mainly on nectar in the middle storey and canopy, and also takes insects. It moves rapidly and sometimes joins mixed-species flocks.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
