The Ochre-bellied Boobook lives around Sulawesi in Indonesia. It roosts in dense vegetation by day and hunts insects from the middle levels of trees.
It has no ear tufts and a relatively long tail. The facial area is brown and paler near the yellow eyes, while the belly is tawny to ochre.
By day it roosts in dense vegetation alone or in pairs, and it mainly catches insects from perches in the middle levels of the canopy.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
