The Burmese myna is a starling with a pale crest and wine-colored chest. It searches for insects on the ground in groups.
The feathers on its forehead and crown stand up and are off-white. The lower chest is wine-colored and the back is grey-brown. Its bill is orange, with a dark base to the lower mandible. The iris is brown with a dark slate orbital ring; its legs are yellow-orange to orange-pink. The tail feathers have white or buff tips.
It searches for insects on the ground in grassland, gardens, and farmland, often in groups. In the evening, groups may gather at shared roosts in reedbeds or bamboo.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
