Bourlon's genet is a viverrid recorded from the Upper Guinean forests of West Africa. Its dorsal spots merge into distinctive markings, while published ecological records remain limited.
The type specimen has a dull creamy-gray ground color, dark limbs, and two rows of back spots that merge near the midline. The distal half of its tail is dark.
Museum records place it in rainforest of the Upper Guinean Block. The 2003 species description said field surveys were needed to establish its ecology and habitat requirements.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
