The Maghreb Magpie is a magpie distinguished by blue bare skin around the eye. It searches the ground for insects and small animals, and also eats fruit and seeds.
Blue bare skin surrounds the eye. Compared with the Eurasian Magpie, it has slightly shorter wings and a longer, non-glossy tail. The sexes are similar; young birds have shorter tails.
It forages on the ground for beetles, moths, and earthworms, and also takes small reptiles, amphibians, and nestlings. It may eat fruit, seeds, and carrion.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
