The Citrine Lorikeet has a green back and yellow, dark-scaled underparts. Small flocks gather at flowering trees along forest edges.
Adults are green above, with a yellow-brown forehead and crown. The throat through the belly is yellow with dark green scaling, and the bill is yellow-orange.
It uses mature forest and forest edges, where small flocks feed in flowering trees. Its diet is mainly pollen and nectar, gathered with a tongue adapted for feeding from flowers.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
