White hairs speckle its reddish-brown coat, giving the back and sides a grizzled look; its underside is pale. The Animal Diversity Web account says females are slightly larger and only males have horns.
It is predominantly nocturnal and browses on shrubs, though it may also graze. Adults are usually solitary, but pairs or a female with one offspring are also recorded.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
