The Socotra Sparrow is a sparrow of Yemen’s Socotra Archipelago. This entry follows BirdLife’s treatment of Passer insularis as a species.
The sexes differ in plumage: females are brown and streaked, while males have darker coloring and chestnut markings.
It inhabits dry scrub and settlements and may form flocks. Accounts report nesting in cavities in cliffs, buildings, or trees.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
