The Bahia Spinetail is a small bird of a restricted area of eastern Brazil. It searches for insects in the forest understory, sometimes moving with mixed flocks in pairs or family groups.
About 16 cm long. The upperparts are brownish olive; the crown, wings, and tail are rufous. It has a buff eyebrow, a dark gray face and throat, and a dark gray-brown belly.
It uses montane rainforest, forest edges, and second growth, mainly in the understory. In pairs or family groups it may join mixed-species flocks, searching leaves, small branches, and bark for insects.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
