Weber's dwarf squirrel lives in lowland Sulawesi forest. Black ear tufts and a red-and-black ringed tail help distinguish it.
A broad black band runs from the neck toward the base of the tail, and long black tufts grow at the ear tips. The underside is reddish orange, and the tail has red and black rings.
Known records are from tropical evergreen rainforest at elevations no higher than 100 m. Its diet is poorly known; ADW suggests fruits, seeds, and insects by comparison with close relatives.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
