The Red-throated Parrotfinch is a small bird found only in New Caledonia. Its red face and tail contrast with its green body.
The face and tail are red, while most of the body is green. The female's red is less vivid than the male's.
It occurs in both dense forest and open habitats, feeds mainly on grass seeds, and may gather in groups.
