The Flame Bowerbird lives in forests of southern New Guinea. Males are brightly coloured and build a narrow avenue of sticks as a courtship display site.
The male has orange and yellow plumage with black wings and tail. The female is mainly brown and more subdued.
It feeds on fruit and insects in the forest canopy. Males build an avenue bower and display there to attract females.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
