It is a rodent with a brownish-gray back and a whitish-gray underside. The 2021 description was based on one subadult female captured in very moist Afromontane forest with abundant tree ferns at Chingawa Forest in southwestern Ethiopia.
The single subadult female used for the 2021 description had a brownish-gray back and a whitish-gray underside without a yellowish shade. The boundary between dorsal and ventral colors was clear.
The single subadult female in the 2021 description was captured in very moist Afromontane forest with abundant tree ferns.
