The Dark Sheath-tailed Bat is a small bat recorded on islands of Southeast Asia. A survey in Sulawesi described an individual with a flattened muzzle and widely spaced nostrils.
The single surveyed individual was very small, with a flattened muzzle and nostrils set widely apart.
The Sulawesi specimen was caught in secondary forest with a bat trap. The species is rarely encountered, so much of its feeding and reproductive biology remains unknown.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
