The Caucasian badger ranges from the Caucasus through Southwest and Central Asia. Its face has broad dark bands over the eyes and ears, with a white band between them.
Broad black or black-brown bands run along the sides of the face over the eyes to the ears. A white stripe lies between them, and the fur on the muzzle, cheeks and ear tips is also white.
In the western Tian Shan of southeastern Uzbekistan, it uses mountain habitats. The related Asian badger in the same area occupies plains and semi-deserts.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
