Meyer's Parrot lives in woodlands and savannas of central and eastern Africa. It has several subspecies whose plumage varies across the range.
Yellow markings occur on the head and wings, but their extent and other plumage features vary among the six subspecies.
In woodland and savanna it feeds mainly on seeds and fruit, as well as insects. It occurs in pairs or flocks and uses tree cavities for nesting and roosting.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
