The Red-rumped Parrot is an Australian parrot whose male has a conspicuous red rump and yellow belly. Females are grey-green, so the sexes look quite different.
Males have an emerald-green head and neck, a blue-green back, red rump, and yellow underparts. Females are pale grey-green with dull white underparts, a green rump, and a blue wing edge.
It eats grass seeds and leaves, and also takes fruit and flowers from trees. It is seen feeding on the ground or in flowering foliage, usually in pairs or flocks.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
