The Bornean smooth-tailed tree shrew has a dark back and pale underside and lives in the mountains of northern Borneo. It has been observed in mossy forest.
Its back is mostly black, while the underside and inner legs are light brownish-yellow. It has a short muzzle, large ears, and a smooth-haired tail.
Species-specific behavior is scarcely reported. ADW says both members of the genus are mainly arboreal, based on field observations and skeletal form.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
