The short-eared rock wallaby has short ears and a bushy tail. It lives near rocky hills and gorges in northern Australia.
Its ears are less than half the length of its head. The coat ranges from pale gray in the west to darker gray or brown farther east. The bushy tail helps it balance on rocky ground.
It is mainly active at night and eats grasses. In the dry season it also eats bark and roots, and it may bask on rocks.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
