This bat is known from its type locality and nearby areas in Guinea’s Nimba Mountains. The study captured two individuals, both emerging from an abandoned mine adit.
The dorsal fur is bright orange, with each hair divided into black, creamy-white, and orange sections. The wing membranes are mostly black with narrow orange bands along the digits and forearm.
The type locality lies where high-altitude grassland, montane savanna, and gallery forest meet. The two captured individuals emerged by day from an abandoned mine adit.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
