This gray tyrant has a long, deeply forked tail and occurs in the Atlantic Forest of southeastern South America.
It is mostly dull gray, with darker gray wings and tail. Its tail is long and distinctly forked.
At forest edges, in Araucaria woodland, and in shrub-covered fields, it often perches on an exposed branch, sallies out to catch insects, and returns to the same perch.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
