The White-browed Ground-tyrant visits the high Andes seasonally and searches for food on the ground. Peruvian records are from April to October.
It is about 17 cm long, grey above and whitish below, with a diffuse rusty nape. The bold white eyebrow varies in length and prominence among individuals.
In Peru it feeds in short grass, often near water. The Argentine account describes solitary birds feeding on the ground or in flight and a summer presence in northwestern Patagonia.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
