The aerial pipistrelle is a small bat recorded in East Africa. Few records are available, and much of its ecology remains unknown.
Its back is silky dark reddish brown and the underside is paler. The ears are short and blackish, and the wings lack a white border.
The Kenyan locality is a mosaic of Acacia bushland and grassland. The account calls the bat very rare and says its behavior is poorly known.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
