This small bat occurs in northern Australia. It catches insects in flight over wooded habitats and roosts in caves, rock crevices, and other sheltered sites.
The back is brown or gray brown and the belly is slightly paler. Most of the face is bare and dark brown, nearly black, as are the ears and wings.
It leaves its roost around dusk and hawks insects below the canopy in wooded areas. Roosts have been recorded in caves, rock cracks, unused mines, and buildings.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
