The Spotted Jewel-babbler lives in montane forest on New Guinea. It walks on the forest floor in search of insects and other small animals.
Its crown and nape are chestnut, its throat and front of the face are black, and its black upper breast has white spots.
It searches the ground for insects, small invertebrates, and frogs, and sometimes eats fruit.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
