A large crowned-pigeon of southern New Guinea's lowland rainforests, with a crest that extends far back and a blue-gray body.
An enormous pigeon with a crest that is especially long at the back. The body is blue-gray, with maroon over the shoulder, chest, and throat, and a large white wing patch.
It forages in small groups on the forest floor, twitches its tail nervously, and gives a deep, two-note booming call.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
