The Manado fruit bat is a fruit-eating bat from Sulawesi, distinguished by having two upper incisors. A survey in South Sulawesi captured it during every recorded lunar phase, including full moon.
The original description notes two incisors in the upper jaw and deeply grooved upper and lower lips. The tail is well developed and rather thick.
At one South Sulawesi site, captures were recorded through all lunar phases, from new moon to full moon. Fewer were caught during the full-moon phase.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
