This shrew is reported from forests in Central Africa. Uganda has very few old records, and identification can be difficult because similar species occur there.
The Ugandan specimen was dark greyish umber, with underparts slightly paler than the back.
The IUCN assessment treats the species as terrestrial and associated with forest. The sources checked here do not describe specific behaviour or diet.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
