The Pygmy Cupwing is a small bird with a very short tail and scaled-looking brown plumage. It forages in dense understory and near the forest floor.
Its tail is nearly hidden by its short length; it has relatively long legs and scaled-looking brown plumage.
It searches for food on the forest floor and in low growth, hopping quickly among leaf litter and near rotting logs.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
