This small mountain bird has an almost absent tail and rounded wings. Nest observations in Sikkim found globular nests made mainly of moss and rootlets.
The tail is nearly absent, and the wings are rounded and cup-shaped.
In temperate forest in Sikkim, the monitored nests were globular and placed under moss-covered rocks, among moss on tree trunks, or on mossy slopes. Moss and rootlets were the main nest materials.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
