The gray large-footed myotis is documented from mainland China. Australian bats once reported under this name are now treated as a different species.
The dorsal fur is dark gray and the underside is lighter. Juveniles are described as paler than adults.
It forages low to medium over woodland and water, and roosts in caves, buildings, mine shafts, or hollow trees. Its diet probably consists mainly of insects and may include small fish.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
