This small tyrant flycatcher ranges from Mexico through much of South America. It uses forest edges and open or cultivated places with tall trees, often staying high in the canopy.
Adults are olive-green or brown, with a whitish throat that turns yellow toward the lower belly, brown breast streaks, a pale line above the eye, and a dark cinnamon tail.
It uses semi-open country, cultivated areas with tall trees, and forest edges. It remains high in trees, making it difficult to observe.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
