The White-breasted Kingfisher is a kingfisher with a red bill, blue back and tail, brown head and belly, and a white throat and breast. It eats fish and shrimp as well as crabs and lizards.
The head and belly are dark brown, the throat and breast are white, the back and tail are metallic blue, and the bill is red.
Near water it waits on a branch, catches fish or shrimp and returns to a perch to eat. Away from water it also takes prey such as crabs and lizards.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
