This squirrel glides among trees and uses tree hollows. A Phu Quoc Island survey found four animals—an adult female and male and two young males—in one hollow.
One individual recorded in Assam had a brown back, gray fur across the rest of its upper body, and a white underside. Its tail was gray and darker below.
On Phu Quoc Island, a group of four was found in a hollow of a large Syzygium tree about 1.5 meters above the ground.
