The Cinnamon Ground Dove is a ground-dwelling pigeon with a golden patch of breast feathers. It walks on the forest floor in rain and monsoon forests of New Guinea and nearby islands.
It is about 22–24 cm long and weighs roughly 120–137 g. Its golden-yellow breast patch distinguishes it from related ground doves with a red breast mark.
It feeds on seeds, fruits, and insects on the forest floor. A zoo account also reports visits to birds-of-paradise display grounds to eat regurgitated seeds.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
