A small dove with white-spotted wings and a red eye-ring. It lives in dry, open parts of inland Australia.
Its body is blue-grey, with rows of white spots across the wings. The eye-ring is orange-red, and females are generally duller than males.
It walks on the ground to feed on grass and other plant seeds, and sometimes takes small insects.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
