The Yap Cicadabird is recorded from Yap in Micronesia. A short 1976 survey saw a few birds in a forested valley and at a forest edge.
The collected female was described as rufous-buff and less barred below than Palau specimens. An observed male was dark grey to black, with a pale tail-tip band.
Observers recorded it in a deep forested valley west of Colonia and at a nearby forest edge.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
