The marbled cat is a wild cat of forests from South Asia to Southeast Asia. Its marble-like markings and unusually long tail are distinctive.
Its coat ranges from yellowish brown to grayish brown, with large dark-edged blotches on the back and sides. The head has smaller spots, and the long tail bears dark rings.
There are records of the cat using both trees and the ground. These observations do not establish a single pattern of habitat use across its whole range.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
