This large oropendola occurs in the Peruvian Amazon canopy; its red bill tip and pink cheek patch are distinctive.
It has an olive-green body, chestnut wings, a black bill with a red tip, and a bare pink cheek patch in both sexes. The tail is yellow, with a greenish central pair of feathers.
The Peru Aves account places it in the canopy of Amazonian terra firme forest, up to 1000m along the Andean foothills.
