The Felou gundi is a West African rodent associated with rocky places. A habitat model found suitable sites more often on steep, rocky ground near water.
Like the other gundis, it has a compact body, short legs, large eyes, and long whiskers. The group account reports coat colors from gray to reddish brown, varying among species.
The San Diego Zoo account says the Felou gundi uses a harsh chee-chee call. Its wider field behavior remains poorly known, as reflected in the limited ecological data discussed in a 2012 study.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
