This uakari was described from Amazonas, Brazil. Males have whitish backs and flanks with an orange to chestnut beard. The 2022 description is based on specimens from the Tarauacá and Pauini river regions.
In the described specimens, the back and flanks are whitish, especially in males, and the beard is orange to chestnut. The face has little hair, making the color contrast conspicuous.
The paper associates the specimens with white-water várzea, seasonally flooded forest along the documented river reaches. The habitat statement is limited to the Tarauacá right bank and Pauini river-system records.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
