The Mongolian Pika is a small pika whose coat is lighter in summer and darker in winter. It is active by day around its burrow and stores gathered grasses as food for winter.
It weighs about 175–200 g and reaches up to 25 cm in length. Its ears are short and rounded; its coat is lighter in summer and darker in winter.
It is diurnal and partly burrow-dwelling. It stays active in winter rather than hibernating, gathering grasses and other forage and storing them near its burrow for later use.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
