The Plumed Whistling Duck is an Australian duck with a long neck and extended flank feathers that reach over its back. It feeds on grasses in wetlands and grasslands.
It has a long neck and pale brown head, neck, and breast. Off-white flank plumes edged in black extend over the back, and the bill and legs are pink.
This herbivorous duck eats grasses, legumes, and herbs. In the wet season it makes a shallow ground nest under vegetation.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
