Kalinowski's little mastiff bat occurs in dry areas of southwestern Peru and northern Chile. It eats insects; one studied population used crevices in rocky slopes as roosts.
Deep folds mark the skin around its lips. Its ears are separate, with a well-developed inner ear projection.
It feeds on insects and flies low while foraging. At Ite Valley, the study population used crevices in hillside rocks as roosts.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
