The Kinda baboon lives in miombo woodland in south-central Africa. It is smaller and more slender than related baboons, with notably long legs.
Its coat is described as softer than that of the yellow baboon. It is smaller, slender, and long-legged, with no white facial patches; the skin around the eyes and the hair crest are distinctive.
It lives in groups that include multiple adult males and females. Groups of up to about 200 animals have been reported.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
