This bat was described from Vietnam. The original paper reports captures on Cat Ba Island in the north and at Chu Mom Ray in the Central Highlands, in forests of different condition.
Its gray-brown back is darker than its underside. The noseleaf is broad and the ear tips are bluntly pointed.
The original study captured it in karst forest on Cat Ba Island and in forest and plantations at Chu Mom Ray. These are survey records, not evidence that it prefers only these habitats.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
