The White-bellied Kingfisher is a small kingfisher that watches for prey from low perches near forest streams.
It has a rusty forehead, blue head and back, white belly, rusty flanks, and a red-orange bill. Adult males and females look alike.
In forested areas it perches low beside streams and small rivers, watching the water or ground. It eats both fish and insects.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
