During the Bishop Museum expedition to Mount Dayman in Papua New Guinea, it was recorded frequently above 1,400 m and used several forest strata.
In the expedition specimens, the iris was recorded as lime green, the bill black, and the legs steel blue-gray.
In the survey area it often joined mixed-species feeding flocks, moved acrobatically along branches and foliage tips, and visited flowers.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
